1911 LEATHER HOLSTER RIGHT HAND 15 DEGREE RAKE PREMIUM HERMANN OAK GIBSON BRUCE GIBSON DESIGN

Gibson Gunleather and Bruce Gibson Design right-hand belt slide pancake holster for the 1911 fits 4, 4.25 or 5-inch barrels. With a 5-inch barrel, you’ll have about ¾” of muzzle exposed. Commander-length (4″ or 4.25″ barrels) will cover the entire muzzle/front sight.

The sight track is molded in, and the stitching is flared to eliminate “sticking” or hanging up on the draw.

Retention is excellent. Suitable for open or concealed carry.

Full trigger guard coverage, and cutaway for a comfortable, full-firing grip while holstered.

This one is designed to fit gun belts 1.5″ wide, and 1/4″ thick. This is a high-ride open or concealed holster with a 15-degree muzzle rear rake or cant.

Natural oil finish that will darken somewhat over time with exposure to sunlight. A lot of folks describe this as “patina,” and it’s a cool natural occurrence with veg-tan leather.

Premium American Hermann Oak vegetable tanned leather. All proudly made in the USA.

Heavy white nylon machine stitching.

Hand-fitted and hand-detailed. Holster edges are hand-beveled, waxed, finished, and burnished.

These holsters are in-stock, and ship via US Postal Service Priority Mail with delivery confirmation within 2 to 3 business days.

Satisfaction is guaranteed.

Replica gun is not included.

GIBSON GLOCK NATURAL--MAY 19 2016

Not a heck of a lot to write about today–or this week.  Staying busy in the shop enjoying the stifling heat and humidity of a Northwest Florida Spring.

I’ve found that if I’m short on topics, I can always slap up a picture.  So, here ya go.

This is one I’ve been building for several years.  Simple belt-slide holster in Natural veg-tan, American-Tanned, premium Hermann Oak leather.  The initial “base” finish is 100% pure Neatsfoot oil, followed by some hours in the Florida sunshine for the honey-gold color.  Vegetable-tanned leather actually does tan…much like the bikini-clad Spring Break nymphs we got rid of a month or so back.  Truth be told, most of those went home hungover and sunburned, but I like my story better.

The holster in the photo above is for the Glock 19, 23, or 32.  It’s bonded and stitched with heavy white nylon thread, the edges are hand-beveled, dyed, and wax burnished.  The belt slots are set to accommodate a 1-1/2″ wide, dual-layer (1/4″ thick) gun belt.  This one’s right-handed with a rake angle set at 15-degrees muzzle rearward.  It also rides high, and provides for a full firing grip.

KIMBER PRO RAPTOR 2 STAINLESS WITH DOMAIN--JAN 12 2016

This second photo is pretty much the same holster as the first, except for the 1911, and a molded site track.  There’s one of my gunbelts in there, too.  And don’t forget those sweet, Wilson Combat 47-D magazines.

Sheriff Jim Wilson & Conditions of Readiness for the 1911.

I’ve always loved the 1911, and the chunky cannonballs we call the .45 ACP cartridge.

Here’s a handy article from Sheriff Jim Wilson in American Rifleman describing the different conditions of carry.  (Click on photo for story).

Quality time in the shop with my Kimber Raptor. We’re back to accepting a few orders, too.

GIBSON BENCH WITH HOLSTERED 1911--BLACK AND WHITE EFFECT--JAN 15 2016

As most of you know I’d stopped accepting advance orders over a year ago.  I wanted to work on some new ideas, and new gear in areas that included gunleather, but also incorporated my other interests…specifically, cowboy and rodeo gear, which is where we started this whole deal way back in 1986.

This web domain is new, and all this technology is new–to me.  I’m still figuring it out when I’m not doing the part I love, which is the bench-time part.  We’ll get the shopping cart up and running…it just takes a while.

I’m getting a pile of inquiries on ordering, pricing, and availability.  I’m workin’ on that.  Gunbelt pricing is simple…plain, dual-layer gunbelts start at $150.00, and the crosscut and basket stamp are $199.00.  The holsters I’m building are all outside-the-waistband (OWB) for a very limited gun list.  My focus is on 1911’s in 4″, 4.25″, and 5″ barrels.  They start at $125.00.

Let me know if you have something in mind.  If I don’t make it, I’ll likely know someone who does.
