In “awl” seriousness…this is the best DVD on hand-sewing I’ve ever seen.

I’m a huge fan of hand-sewing leather.  Tapered, beeswaxed linen thread.  Polished, razor sharp awl blades.  Band-Aids, taped fingers.  I love everything about it.  Not to mention the strength and beauty of the stitching when it’s done right.

This DVD covers everything–from tapering linen thread, to the proper threading of the needles.  Sharpening, polishing and “tuning” of your awl blades, and the actual sewing itself.  The headstall project’s a handy real world example of what’s possible.  Highly recommended.  75 minutes in length, and packed full of information.
