I know. You’re not supposed to talk nice about other Maker’s product. It’s business…go in for the kill, at all costs. Win. Always. No matter what.
I call bullshit.
Fact is, I bought this holster second-hand over ten years ago. “Stole” this holster would probably be more accurate. I’ve loved it the entire time I’ve owned it, and it will easily out-last me. It’s cool, it’s functional, and I’ve stolen more than a few of the “cool” features to enhance my own product. Other than the belt slide, or pancake holster design in general, I’d say this design has probably been copied–attempted to be copied–more than any other. Maybe with the exception of the Milt Sparks Summer Special, but I’d still say they’d at least be a tie. The HF-1 has nothing in common with the Sparks Summer Special. The Tucker HF-1 is a Southwest, sagebrush and tumbleweed functional tussler. It is, what it is. Awesome.
Phenomenal customer service, product excellence. Function. Pure function. You should have one–at least one. Rob Longenecker owns the operation, and he actually answers his phone, does what he says he’ll do, and has a bunch of time in the industry. I’ve talked to Rob a few times over the years, and swapped a bunch of emails–he responds to those, too. He’ll take care of you, or I wouldn’t be writing this telling you that he will.
Wrapping up this first blog post of 2018, I no longer accept advance orders. I’ll build gunleather until I’m old, feeble and unable, but for now, I’m building what I want, and offering it here when it’s available. I also love to brag on people I respect, that tell you what they’ll do, then do what they tell you. Rob’s one of those people.
Don’t get me wrong–Rob’s gettin’ on up there, and if he ever retires, or slips a little, I’m 100% ready to steal this design and call it my own. But, I don’t see that happening. I’m convinced he’ll outlive me, so the only place you can get a true, Tucker HF-1, is from Rob.
Head over and check out what’s he’s got. The website is www.TuckerGunleather.com
